US media: Biden vetoes bill to add 66 federal district judge positions

The December 24th Jinshi data, according to Fox News, reported that Biden vetoed a bill on Monday that would have added 66 federal district judge positions over more than a decade. The bipartisan move aimed to prevent any one party from gaining an advantage in shaping the federal judiciary. Although these organizations believe that adding judgeships would help address seriously delayed cases and alleviate concerns about judicial fairness, the White House said Biden would veto the bill. President Biden said the bill would add new judgeships in some states where senators have not filled existing judicial vacancies, indicating that concerns about judicial efficiency and caseload were not the true impetus for pushing the bill through now.
