Alchemy Pay Invests in a Company in Hong Kong that Holds SFC Type 1/4/9 Licenses
On Thursday, the Alchemy Pay team announced via a blog post that it has made a strategic investment in Hong Kong-based HTF Securities Limited through one of its corporate entities. HTF Securities is a licensed corporation regulated by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), holding Type 1 (Dealing in Securities), Type 4 (Advising on Securities), and Type 9 (Asset Management) licenses.
The company provides clients with a full suite of services, including equities, bonds, funds, brokerage services, and securities advisory, along with discretionary portfolio and fund management.
The SFC’s Type 1, 4, and 9 licenses are widely regarded as the foundational trio for full-spectrum financial service offerings, encompassing the key activities of securities trading, investment advisory, and asset management. This license combination represents one of the most comprehensive and versatile sets of financial permissions available in Hong Kong’s regulatory landscape.
Alchemy Pay is a payment system focused on retail transactions at the point of sale and peer-to-peer remittance. Users can make payments using fiat, stablecoins, and other cryptocurrencies on traditional payment systems. Alchemy Pay’s ACH token is up 10.6% in the last 24 hours and trades at $0.02396.
