Golden Finance reports that police in Recife, Brazil, have arrested four suspects involved in the kidnapping of a retired female professor. The incident occurred in March of this year, and the victim's son (who works in Portugal related to Crypto Assets) paid a ransom of 5 Bitcoins, which was worth about 3.3 million reais (approximately 600,000 USD) at the time. Police stated that the suspects included two men and two women, who had tracked the victim's son through social media before the kidnapping. This incident reflects that kidnappings and Crypto Assets ransom cases are not isolated occurrences globally.
