There are four things in life that should not be lent: First, do not lend your energy. Many people are willing to come to you to complain, express their grievances, or share their feelings. You might think they regard you as a close brother or good friend, but in reality, they see you as a power bank. Once you respond, your energy is consumed. Second, do not lend your time. When others come to ask for your help, if you forget about your own responsibilities while helping them, it's like giving your time away to others, handing over your fate to them. In my opinion, you can help with others' busy matters, but you should not sacrifice yourself. The third is not to lend cause and effect, for instance, when it comes to matchmaking. Do not help others by guaranteeing or vouching for them; it's best to avoid this. Because if you get involved, it is likely to lead to loss of life and wealth. The fourth is not to lend your family's fortune. What does it mean to not lend your family's fortune? For example, if you frequently invite friends to your home for negotiations and end up quarrelling, or if you allow your relatives to come to your home to recuperate, or even let unfamiliar strangers stay at your house, these actions can unknowingly disperse your family's energy and destroy the foundation of your family's fortune. Therefore, none of the above four should be easily lent.
