The performance of cryptocurrencies [like Celestia (TIA)](https://www.gate.io/learn/articles/what-is-celestia/971 "like Celestia (TIA)") continues to be unpredictable as we go towards the April halving event. Since <a href="/price/bitcoin-btc" target="_blank" class="blog_inner_link">Bitcoin</a> established itself as the leading cryptocurrency, its dynamics often impact the performance of other crypto assets. For example, the surge in the bitcoin price following previous halving events was the key trigger of resultant bull runs.  

In this article we explore Celestia’s (TIA) performance since the beginning of the year. We shall also analyze how the bitcoin price movement may affect TIA crypto’s future price performance. 

## Celestia’s (TIA) Price Performance: The Recent 28% Drop and Subsequent Slight Recovery
Despite the bearish momentum which Celestia (TIA) experienced during March the market anticipates that it will perform well during the greater part of April. Since the beginning of the year the positive crypto market sentiment has enabled TIA to perform well despite some dips along the way. In spite of the strong bullish momentum it had within the first two months which resulted in its current all-time high of $21.16 on 10 February, its upward pressure has weakened since then. 

As an example between 13 and 19 March the TIA price dropped by 37% which generated mixed crypto trading signals. Notably, the TIA price analysis indicates that the bearish trend that existed in March started after the Celestia coin attained its ATH on 10 February.   

Nonetheless, soon after its all-time high the coin price dropped and formed some lower highs. Based on the previous Celestia investment trends there is a need for new capital injection to push its price up. 

## Ongoing Bullish Sentiment among Investors despite Price Fall
The bitcoin recovery expected in April may influence the TIA’s price to rise. Currently, TIA has retraced by more than 22% from its recent high of $13.18. Despite the recent Celestia TIA price drop that has seen it trading below $12 the TIA investors optimism has not decreased further.

First, as of 29 March the positive funding rate Celestia showed the optimism that existed in its market. As a fact, the funding rate is a metric used in perpetual futures contracts crypto and other investment assets which enables the traders to decide whether they should go long or go short. 

A positive funding rate signals that the traders should go long while a negative one indicates that they should go short. The next graph indicates a positive funding rate for TIA which shows that the Celestia future price movement may become bullish in the near future.

This positive funding rate indicates that despite the retracement the investors are expecting its price to rise. 

## MACD Indicator, its Current Signals for Celestia and Indication about its Future Price Movement 
The technical analysis TIA also indicates that the coin price may rise in the near future, especially in April in tandem with the expected bitcoin rally. In fact, as we edge closer to the halving event and as the investors change their crypto investment strategies in line with the anticipated bitcoin bull market the price of TIA may surge. 

The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) is one of the cryptocurrency technical indicators that has predicted that the future of Celestia coin is bright. 

By 29 March the MACD indicator crypto signalled the cryptocurrency price dip recovery as it was on the verge of a bullish crossover on a high time frame as the following graph shows.

Nonetheless, the greatest threat to TIA price rally is the emergence of scepticism among retail investors which may generate hesitancy and negative sentiment within the market. 

A Celestia price bounce off the $11.74 support level may drive it towards $20.33 which may invalidate any bearish momentum build up. According to Santiment, by the end of March there was a build-up of negative Celestia market sentiment as the next graph indicates.

Based on the above graph, by the end of March there was an overall negative market sentiment which could hamper Celestia TIA recovery. Another factor that has led to a positive Celestia <a href="/price-prediction" target="_blank" class="blog_inner_link">price prediction</a> was March’s 50% rate of green days over that of February. 

Also, around the same period, the market sentiment, as indicated by the Fear and Greed index, was extremely greedy since it was 80. That bullish outlook supported by its fundamentals positions Celestia as a solid investment asset. Once it experiences a strong cryptocurrency price dip recovery its value may shoot above $20. 

## Conclusion 
The market expects the Celestia (TIA) price to surge in April at a time the value of bitcoin may rise due to the effect of the halving event. The good thing is that during the first two months of the year TIA was bullish. Once the coin fully recovers from the recent 28% price dip it may rally again. Both its funding rate and technical indication shows a possible future rally.
